Days Fourteen - Twenty-Seven

It's been a while since I have posted. I have been having some really off days and just didn't feel like updating.
So here is a recap of the last few days. Owen is fine, at his last sonogram he was was measuring big and weighing about 5lb 13oz. He is doing great and they are pleased with how he's developing. My blood pressure most days is good and my protein level's keep going up an down. I was really hoping to go home on bed rest, but I really am here for the long haul!
On Monday, my dr came by and we had a chat. I am going to be induced on Jan. 9th unless Owen comes on his own before then. I am REALLY hoping he comes before then but if not I am okay with that too. So in less than two weeks, I will be a mommy! Still crazy and scary to think about. Mostly, I am just excited to have my little man in my arms.
I will try to be more update with my posting. :)

Days Thirteen and Fourteen

Yesterday was a blah day. I ended up sleeping in until almost noon and just bummed around my room. I had normal blood pressure for most of the day. For some reason it always seems to spike around 6pm. Nothing too crazy though. Today started out as another blah day. I think its the crappy weather getting to me.  I got transferred to a new room, which I like much better. The best part of my day was seeing my little man, who apparently is not little at all! lol
I had my weekly sonogram, Owen is measuring 35w4d, I'm really 33w3d, so he is measuring big again. His current estimated weigth is 5lbs 13oz. My high risk dr says I defintely have a big baby in the making. Everything else looks great. He is still doing some practice breathing and has plenty of fluids. As far as the dr can tell, I am not at any risks to have to deliver him early for fetal development issues or fluid loss. Yay!
Hopefully my blood pressure will continue to look good and I will keep Owen cooking until I reach 38 weeks. Its crazy to see him now, especially in 4D. He looks more and more like a person everytime I see him. It makes me so happy. I just can't wait to meet him! :)

Days Nine - Twelve

I have spent the last few days either doing homework or taking an exam or being sick. Thankfully I am done with school for the semester, even got a B in my class!! :)
I got sick late Sunday nite, nothing baby related. I still am not feeling 100%. All of my labs this week have come back perfect. My blood pressure is still looking good and Owen is looking great as well. So no new reports on the baby front.
However, late Saturday nite, Stephen did as me to marry him!! We are both very excited. Sadly, he had to kneel down on one knee in my hospital room, but it was still very sweet!!
As of now, we don't have a date yet. We are planning on just having a reception to celebrate with our families and friends. More details on the wedding plans to come! :)

Day Eight

So today started off pretty rough. Emotionally I am drained. I am very tired of being at the hospital, but I know its the best thing for Owen. I would give my right arm to go home, take a shower, and sleep in my own bed. But that simply isn't going to happen. : /
Anyway, had my weekly sonogram today, and Owen looks great. His lungs are still taking some practice breaths, which makes the dr's very happy. All his organs are developing like they should. My blood pressure is low in the morning and then gets higher as the day goes on, but they do not seemed to be worried about it. The headaches are still lasting all day, which sucks, but again they do not seemed to be worried about that either. My high risk OB thinks that everything is going to go as it should and I will hopefully deliver at 38 weeks. I'm just hoping I do not lose my mind before then.

Days Three-Seven

Sorry, I've been slacking off on blogging. I have been busy knitting baby items and finishing my last class for the semester.
So the last couple of days have been very uneventful medically. I have been have very low blood pressure for the last three days. All the nurses keep teasing me and asking me why I am in the hospital. lol!
Saturday, I had a lot of visitors and it was extremely nice. And Sunday I had some more visitors. It was a nice way to spend my weekend.
Today, Wednesday, has been the first day that I have not had a good day. My blood pressure is okay but not great. My protein levels have increased, I have keytones now, and I am having headaches that last all day and do not go away with tylenol. Its been a rough day. Hoping tomorrow will be better. Trying to stay as postive as I can. Its been a 8 days since I got put on hospital bed rest and 15 days since  I have been on bed rest as a whole. I am grateful for everyday that I am able to cook Owen a little longer!

Day Two

Well today has been pretty uneventful. However, my blood pressure has been the best it has been in weeks! Most of my pressures have been 110's/60's!! Woohoo! Owen passed his first stress test this morning with flying colors. He's been a little chill today but he is still moving around and seems to be doing well.
The dr's are really happy with my stats today, which in turn makes me happy! I had a sonogram to make sure Owen was developing as should and got a GREAT report. I could see him breathing and his lungs are more developed than they expected. Apparently the steroid shots I got last week really helped. The dr did a 4D scan and I got to see his little face. He even stuck his tongue out at me! He is so adorable with the cutest, chubby cheeks! I can't wait to finally meet him!
Looking forward to a nice nite with Stephen since he will be away most of the weekedn on military orders. Tomorrow I should have a few visitors which makes me happy too!

Day One

As many of you know, I am now on bed rest until Owen arrives. I was originally at home but as of Tuesday nite, I was put in the hospital. My doctor feels this is a better option to make sure that both myself and Owen are safe.
The short term goal is to get me to 35 weeks, I am currently 32weeks and 4days. The long term goal is to get me to 38 weeks. I am just hoping to get to January 1st.
I figured now that I have all this free time, I'd start a blog to keep me busy and also inform everyone. Yesterday my doctor came by and just gave me a run down of what to expect. Everyday, I will start with having my blood pressure taken and being weighed. Then Owen will have his first stress test for the day. My blood pressure will be checked every four hours. Sometime in the evening, Owen will have his second stress test.
Once a week I will have blood work done and also a sonogram to make sure Owen still looks good. (I'm excited about getting to see my baby every week!)
And that was pretty much my day yesterday.
Today, started out the same. Stephen spent the nite with me last nite so we were able to be with each other a little before he went to work. I have been knitting a scarf for him and made alot of progress this morning. I've had one visitor as of today and I am hoping to have one more. It was nice seeing and talking to someone I know. Thanks again Arthur for coming by!
That's I'll for now. I will update later. :)
